NK TEST: Opel Astra K 1.6 CDTI AT. Ubrzo nakon karavana na test je stigla i hečbek varijanta. Interno smo dosta očekivali od hečbeka, tj. karavan nam se nije baÅ¡ dopao. Ja sam ga provozao jedno 50-ak km i već na prvo voženje vidim ja da maÅ¡ina vuče propisno. Neobično jer mi rekoÅ¡e da je 1.6D plus Opel automatik.
Six-speed issues. We’ve seen several reports of the 6-speed manual gearbox failing on the 1.4-litre turbo petrol. DPF blockages. Not a problem with the Astra per se, but a problem for most diesel engines that don’t regularly cover good mileages.
The popular Club gained an adjustable steering column, upgraded remote-control audio system and electric windows. Air conditioning was added to the SXi and both this version and the CD could be ordered with either a 16-valve 1.6 or 1.8-litre petrol engine. The 1.7DTi diesel engine option is more powerful and frugal than the TD unit it replaced.
We drove the 130hp 1.5-litre diesel and although it sounds a little vocal on start-up it is actually very quiet when you get going and feels super responsive. There is 300Nm of torque at just 1,750 rpm so certainly won’t have to work this engine hard to get the best out of it. There is a 52-litre fuel tank.
