Jaguar X-Type (2001 - 2009) - Massive problem with diesel Jaguar. Hi Gents. I am here looking for some help with a BIG problem that I have with my Jaguar. Its a long story. I used to own from new a petrol engine X-type. It was very unreliable and I had problems with the automatic gearbox and the heater unit.
The car has gone back to the garage (Jag specialist), they have detected a battery drain of aprox 750 milli-amps (0.75a), checked after shutdown 45+ mins,normal discharge should be aprox 40 milli-amps ( 0.04a), they have checked all usual suspects OK, interior lights, fuses, door switches,phone, alarm, etc etc.
Posted September 15, 2013. Hi all, I have an X Type 2.0 Diesel 2004 model. When the car had warmed up car seems to be running lumpy, acceleration is a little unresponsive for approx. 2 secs when in top gear. It feels like it is missing a little. I had the diesel filter changed but it seems to have gotten worse.
5463 posts · Joined 2014. #2 · Dec 10, 2016. I've had dsc not available (then abs, Cruise etc) when the foot switch got confused. Cleared after a reboot but could be foot switch.
